Please see the timetable below for the current activities delivered by the Active Choices team. We can also help you join the Profiles Health and Fitness Suites by carrying out inductions and providing support on a 1:1, or small group basis, and support you in accessing other Inspiring healthy lifestyles sessions, local sports clubs and other activities within the Wigan Borough for up to 12 weeks. You can try as many activities as you like with no limit. Most people like to start small and increase sessions gradually, as their confidence increases. There are plenty of activities to choose from and support will be offered along the way.
Booking for activities only applies to Wheels for All, Golf, Cycle Ride sessions, Inspiring healthy lifestyles parks activities and the Tyldesley Allotment session due to the restricted number of places. Bookings can be made for these on 01942 488481. For all other sessions you can just pay as you go!
Volunteers play an important role in the development and provision of all our physical activity programmes. This not only benefits the local community but also themselves. Volunteering gives you the opportunity to develop an interest, learn new skills, gain a qualification, or develop a career. There are a wide variety of opportunities available to you in your local community and volunteering is also flexible so you can give as much or as little as you want. Inspiring healthy lifestyles volunteers are provided with training opportunities and constant ongoing support to help in them in their role. If you would like to be involved please contact the team on 01942 488 481 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
